My name is Sharon and I’m the Founder of Femme Trek. I founded the business in 2021, and then 2 months later, quit my corporate job after nearly 7 years. I was done with corporate. Just done! I was tired of the rat race and letting incompetent management dictate my career path. Starting a business and quitting my main job without another job was the scariest thing I’ve ever done in my life, but also the most empowering and rewarding event of my life!

I’ve been hiking for about 20 years, but hiking and connecting with nature during my time in corporate literally saved my soul!

Femme Trek is for women because women are underserved and underrepresented in business and the outdoor industry.

I’m extremely passionate about fulfilling the mission of Femme Trek by providing accessibility to women in the outdoors, mainly in the backcountry wilderness, so starting Femme Trek just made sense.

Femme Trek invites women who are beginner hikers through advanced to a safe space where they can feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, learning to overcome their fears in the outdoors, have fun, and develop friendships. Hiring a Femme Trek guide is a great way for women to be able to relax so they can truly experience and enjoy the wonders of the wilderness.
